ELIGIBLE FOR $1000 SIGN-ON BONUS First, Second and Third Shift Positions Available Voluntary Overtime Available To set up and operate manually from tape, disc, and/or direct inputted programs CNC horizontal machining center equipment to perform various milling, drilling, tapping, boring, grooving, facing, tapering, cutting off, slotting and deburring to perform machining operations in conjunction with CNC equipment.
Receive instructions, print requirements, route cards, program tapes, and shop orders from Foreman, Programmer, Floor Inspector and Instructor.
Reads and interprets prints and set-up information to determine tool and set-up requirements.
Checks for proper material, part number, pattern number, heat number.
Loads machine manually, with hoist or crane, positions in fixture and/or aligns and clamps, calculates, layouts and checks for machining stock.
Operates CNC horizontal machining center and controls program offsets and edits as needed to mill, turn, face, bore, groove, slot, drill, tap, ream and taper castings forging, weldments of various materials.
Loads and unloads pallet shuttle internal to machining.
Checks and verifies dimensional and visual characteristics internal to machine cycle.
Selects, grinds, and sets-up proper tools as necessary.
Checks dimensions of rough and finished cuts against specifications, along with surface finish requirements using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, scales, dial indicators, gauges.
Works to.

Notifies Foreman, Programmer, Tool Maker or Floor Inspector/Instructor of any unusual condition of material, misapplication of cutting tools, program problems or of any suspected malfunctioning equipment.
Disassembles, cleans, lubricates machine per required schedule.
Keeps immediate work area clean and orderly.
Requirements:
Interpret detailed prints, set up and operate CNC Horizontal Machining Center to perform precision type machining operations.
Reason through, plan work detail from complex blueprints to set-up and operate CNC Horizontal Machining Center.
Uses various tools and gages to operate CNC Horizontal Machining Center to mill, turn, face drill, tap, bore, ream, groove, slot, cut off, deburr, index table, pallet shuttle and etc.
Close attention and care required to prevent damage to cutting tools, gages and machine.
Operates Horizontal Machining Center where continuity of production is required.
Close mental or visual application required for setting up and operating Horizontal Machining Center to machine parts to close tolerances.
Moderate physical exertion.
Handles medium weight materials and tools.
Works on machine platform while loading and unloading parts and fixtures.
